Blankie

Emery has adopted a blankie. She chose a soft pink one with little pink hearts all over it. When she's upset she clutches it close to her and sucks on a corner of it or rubs it on her face.

I'm glad she chose that one. There are many blankets of hers that have special meaning to me because they were made or given to her by someone special. This particular one was given to me by one of my student workers, Karim, when I was at Andrews. I was so touched that he had thought to buy a gift for my baby! When I see that blanket I think of him and what a thoughtful young man he is.
